The Mud Cracks of Anderson Reservoir
It's very difficult to think of any positives, that might occur from a dramatic drought. But when a huge reservoir, like Anderson Reservoir in the southern region of the San Francisco Bay Area, has been drained almost to completion, a certain aesthetic emerged. The huge expanse, of thousands of cracks, in the drying mud of this dry basin, presented abstract patterns that were both plentiful and stunning. This portfolio represented a couple of visits to this location in early 2021.
